Central govt pensioners to get DR installments frozen? Here’s what govt says

The central government withheld three installments of DA and DR for January 1, 2020, July 1, 2020, and January 1, 2021. The freeze was lifted in July 2021, and the DA and DR allocations have since been raised three times. The DA and DR have just been raised by the government.

Central Government employees: DA hiked to 189% for THESE employees

This memorandum along with the changes will apply to employees who draw a salary as per the 5th pay commission and the 6th pay commission. The office memorandum further stated that there would be no DA arrears paid to these employees from January 1, 2020, to June 30 2021. During this period, the employees will continue to get 312% under for the 5th pay commission and 164% for the 6th pay commission.

According to the current update, the employees will get their due DA and DR in September which has been further delayed from July. Under this scheme, a central government employee can get money at a simple interest rate of 7.9 percent to construct their own house. The central government has extended the time limit to submit TA from the earlier 60 to 180 days ahead of the Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR) hike.
