Recycling of electronic, household appliances launched in Moscow
The disposal of electronics and household appliances has started in Russia with a fresh law. According to the law, the disposal can only be disposed of at specially sites from the March 1st. There’s a separate container for everything here where furniture, light bulbs or plastic is disposed. Used car tires can also be dropped here. This disposal site opened about half a year ago. Electronic waste from here is processed by the “ORIS PROM” company. Waste’s second life begins with this man-made hill, which is replenished by a special manipulator.Approximately 1000 tons of unwanted devices here are waiting to be processed. Used electronics are delivered here centrally by special vehicles. Processing starts after sorting - company employees select items with particular grade plastic. There are more than a dozen of those today. and then, just the most popular. Disassembly is the next step - plastic parts here are separated from the electronic filling, it is sought for at specialised enterprises. The company takes waste even at night. They process about 2 tons per day, and soon, within the next month, there will be about twice as much, the company is sure.
