GST officials to directly recover for mismatch in sales in GSTR-1, 3B from Jan
Under the current law, show cause notices were first issued and then recovery process was initiated. There will be now show-cause notices from Jan 1. Section 75 of GST Act states where there is any self-assessed tax, then it can be recovered without issuing show-cause notice.

Businesses defaulting on monthly returns won’t be allowed to file GSTR-1
These moves would help prevent revenue leakage due to evasion of Goods and Services Tax (GST), which was launched on July 1, 2017. The Council decided to amend Rule 59(6) of the Central GST Rules with effect from January 1, 2022, to provide that a registered person shall not be allowed to furnish Form GSTR-1. The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) had notified Aadhaar authentication for GST registration with effect from August 21, 2020.

GST new rule! Non-filers of GST returns to be barred from filing GSTR-1
With the GSTR-3B form, businesses pay their monthly taxes. Rule-59(6) of Central GST Rules which provides for restriction in the filing of GSTR-1, will come into effect from September 1, 2021. GSTR-1 filing would be restricted if he has not furnished the return in Form GSTR-3B for preceding tax period.

Govt extends deadline for file final GST returns till January 10
Businesses with turnover of up to Rs 1.5 crore will have to file GSTR-1 for July-September by January 10, 2018, as against December 31, 2017 earlier.

Table 6A of Form GSTR1 allows taxpayers to file export related data for the period concerned that permits processing of the tax refund on the basis of declaration made under Form GSTR 3B and Table 6A of GSTR-1.
