Bullet-hit Guru Granth Sahib put up for display at Amritsar's Golden Temple
The bullet-hit `bir` (scripture) of the Guru Granth Sahib has been put on display at the Golden Temple complex. The bir was struck by a bullet during Operation Bluestar conducted in 1984, Sikhs consider a physical copy of the Guru Granth Sahib as a living guru and treat it with the utmost respect.
