Hathras case: Girl killed by her brother, mother, claims main accused

The four accused in Hathras alleged gang-rape and murder case have written a Superintendent of Police (SP) claiming that they are innocent and are being framed in false case. The accused identified as Sandeep, Ramu, Lavkush and Ravi sent the letter, which bears their thumb impression, to the SP on Wednesday. Main accused Sandeep has provided details of the incident and claimed that he was not involved in sexual assault of the 19-year-old girl.

Allahabad High Court summons top UP government officials in Hathras case

A Lucknow bench of the Allahabad HC summoned top UP government officials to the court over the alleged gang-rape and murder of a woman in Hathras district. A bench of justices issued summons to the Uttar Pradesh additional chief secretary, director-general of police and additional director general of police. The bench asked them to be present before the court on October 12 to explain the case.
