India abstains on UN resolution to probe Iran's 'human rights violations'
India abstained from voting on a United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) resolution on Thursday. The resolution was to set up a fact-finding mission which can deal with the investigation of the alleged Human Rights violation that was committed on protesters in Iran which began on September 16. This resolution came amidst the protests after 22-year-old Mahsa Amini was detained by Iran`s morality police for wearing an `inappropriate` headscarf .
