Indian Govt Asks Streaming Platforms To Review Content For Obscenity, Violence
Though all films in Indian cinemas are reviewed and certified by a government-appointed board, streamed content is not. Officials in the meeting asked the industry to consider an independent panel to review content so that unsuitable material could be weeded out, two people who attended said.

The phased rollout of 20 per cent ethanol blending in India will commence this April, the Union Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas said. India has increased the ethanol blending in petrol from 1.53 per cent in 2013-14 to 10.17 per cent in 2022.

Indian economic growth to slow to 7% in 2022/23, govt predicts
India's government expects economic growth to slow in the financial year ending March, as pandemic-related distortions ease and pent-up demand for goods levels out going into 2023. Gross domestic product (GDP) will likely rise 7% this fiscal year, compared with 8.7% the previous year: MoS. The government uses the estimates as a basis for its growth and fiscal projections for the next budget due on Feb. 1.

RBI to issue green bonds in two tranches of Rs 8,000 cr each
The RBI on Friday said that maiden Sovereign Green Bonds (SGrBs) would be issued in two tranches of Rs 8,000 crore each on January 25 and February 9. The proceeds will be deployed in public sector projects which help in reducing the carbon intensity of the economy, Reserve Bank of India (RBI) said in a statement.
