Paytm annualised run rate of loan disbursals touches Rs 34,000 crore in Sep

The company had posted an annualised run rate of loan disbursals of about Rs 29,000 crore in August. The value of loans disbursed through Paytm grew close to six times to Rs 7,313 crore, from Rs 1,257 crore in the September 2021 quarter.

Government notifies credit guarantee scheme for startups

DPIIT said that loan/debt facilities sanctioned to an eligible borrower on or after October 6, would be eligible for coverage under the scheme. This scheme would help provide the much needed collateral-free debt funding to startups, it added. These institutions should also have to closely monitor the borrower account.

Supreme Court to pronounce verdict on loan moratorium on March 23

The government said this was the main reason why a waiver of interest was not even contemplated and only payment of instalments was deferred. The Centre has promulgated an emergency credit-linked guarantee scheme (ECLGS) of Rs 3 lakh crore providing additional credit at the lower rate of interest, with 100 per cent government guarantee and no fresh collateral, it had said. The scheme has been extended with higher financial limits to 27 COVID-19 impacted sectors including restaurant and hotel sectors, it had said.
