Top 10 Destinations In India With The Highest Rainfall
Meghalaya (11,777 mm), Arunachal Pradesh (8,000 mm), Sikkim (6,000 mm), West Bengal (5,600 mm), and Nagaland (5,500 mm) are the five states in India with the most rainfall. These northeastern states—Meghalaya having the record for the most rainfall—are among the wettest areas on earth due to their exposure to the Bay of Bengal and Himalayan winds, which bring tremendous rainfall.

Weather Update: IMD Predicts Heavy Rainfall In Delhi-NCR Today
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for heavy rainfall today in West Bengal, Sikkim, Uttarakhand, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, and Arunachal Pradesh. Strong surface winds, with speeds of 20-30 km per hour, are expected throughout the day in the national capital.

BMC had presented a budget of more than 39,000 crores for the year 2021-22, out of which 200 crores was allocated for roads, footpaths, flyovers and traffic related works, besides 150 crores for repairing those places in the city. Where flood like situation is created due to rains during monsoon or anyway. But like every year, this year also the state's roads have turned into canals.

A four-storey building in the Malvani area of Malad West in Mumbai collapsed on Wednesday night. As per the reports, at least eleven people died in the incident, while seven others were injured. Maharashtra Minister Aslam Shaikh visited the place of the incident at around 3 in the night.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday issued a red alert for Mumbai, Thane, Palghar and Ratnagiri and Orange alert for Singhudurg district. The alert has been issued for August 6 as heavy rains continued to lash several districts in Maharashtra. Heavy rainfall in Mumbai on Wednesday resulted in water-logging in low lying areas of Chembur, Parel, Hindmata, Wadala as well as other areas of the city.

Heavy rainfall results in waterlogging in Mumbai's Chembur, Parel, Hindmata
Heavy rainfall in Mumbai on Wednesday resulted in water-logging in low lying areas of Chembur, Parel, Hindmata, Wadala as well as other areas of the city. Rains lashed Mumbai and neighbouring Thane and Palghar districts of Maharashtra affecting local train and bus services due to water-logging on rail tracks and roads. The IMD Mumbai has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall in Mumbai, Palghar, Thane, Raigad, and Nasik for the next 24 hours.
