Separatists call strike against Rajnath Singh's visit, restrictions continue in Srinagar
Normal life in Kashmir was today hit due to a strike called by separatist groups against the visit of Home Minister Rajnath Singh, even as authorities continued restrictions in parts of Srinagar city for a second consecutive day as a precautionary measure.

Restrictions in Srinagar to prevent separatist protests
Srinagar District Magistrate Farooq Ahmad Lone said restrictions under section 144 CrPc were imposed in areas falling under the jurisdiction of seven police stations -- Rainawari, Khanyar, Nowhatta, M.R.Gunj, Safa Kadal, Maisuma and Ram Munshibagh.

Curfew imposed in parts of Srinagar ahead of Friday prayers
Curfew was imposed in seven police station areas of the city today due to apprehensions of violence after Friday prayers. After increased movement of private vehicles for six days, the roads across Srinagar city today wore a deserted look.
