Delhi records 823 new COVID-19 cases in past 24 hrs, highest single-day spike
The active cases of the COVID-19 in Delhi rose to 3,618 from 3,409 in one day. The state health department also revealed that the Capital recorded one more death taking the toll to 10,956 on Sunday. A total of 79,714 tests were conducted on Sunday.

COVID-19: Night curfew timings extended in THESE 9 districts in Punjab
Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh on Thursday (March 18) extended the night curfew in nine worst hit districts by two hours daily. These nine districts earlier imposed night curfew from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m., while other districts have been asked to assess the situation and take action accordingly.

Schools closed in THESE states amid rising COVID-19 cases
Amid rapidly rising COVID-19 cases in the country, the school authorities in some states have started closing down physical classes again. The Telangana authorities are also due to take a decision on whether to shut down schools across the state for a second time in view of rising COVID-19 cases. The Punjab School Education Board on March 15 announced the postponement of the final exams of classes 10th and 12th.

After Ghaziabad, section 144 imposed in Gautam Buddha Nagar to curb COVID-19
Gautam Buddh Nagar authorities on Thursday (March 18) imposed COVID-19 restrictions, under Section 144 of CrPC. The order will remain in place between March 17- April 30 as a precautionary measure against the rising cases in view of upcoming festivals.
