Uttarakhand CM launches Saur Swarojgar Yojana to generate self-employment

Uttrakhand CM Rawat said nearly 10,000 people will get employment under the scheme. The solar plant will generate 38,000 units of electricity per annum and will be bought by Uttarakhand Power Corporation Ltd for 25 years. To set up the solar plants, the cooperative banks will grant loans at an interest rate of eight per cent per year for 15 years.

Vice Admiral Ajit Kumar inaugurates 2 MW solar plant at Naval Station Karanja

Indian Navy Vice Admiral Ajit Kumar inaugurated 2 mega watt power plant of the Western Naval Command at Naval Station Karanja on Monday. Notably, the plant installed at Naval Station Karanja is one of the largest solar plants in the region. The solar plant comprises of 100% indigenously developed solar panels, tracking tables and inverters.

French Ambassador opens solar plant in Uttarakhand

The plant, built by Technique Solaire in Maheshwari village in Haridwar district, would generate 5.5 MWp, which is the equivalent of the local electricity consumption of 13,500 inhabitants.
