World Bank offers $115 million loan for rejuvenating watersheds in India
The $115 million (Rs 869 crore) loan has a maturity of 15 years, including a grace period of 4.5 years, the Finance Ministry said. The Government of India has announced a plan to restore 26 million hectares of degraded land by 2030 and double farmers` income by 2023. It will also help the participating and other states to adopt new approaches to watershed development," the Finance Ministry said in a statement.

3 IRS officers chargesheeted for report proposing hike in taxes for super rich
The Union Finance Ministry on Monday (April 27) chargesheeted three Internal Revenue Service (IRS) officers for "misguiding" young taxmen and "unauthorisedly" making public a report that proposed for a steep hike in taxes to tackle the economic crisis caused due to the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic.
