Tokyo governor Koike says coronavirus situation improving, 2021 Games on track
Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike said that the coronavirus situation in Japan`s capital is improving and the Olympics remain on track for 2021. Koike had said last month that Tokyo could declare a state of emergency if the coronavirus situation deteriorated. Tokyo Olympics were earlier scheduled between July 24 and August 9 this year but were then postponed to 2021,owing to the COVID-19 pandemic.
