Rafael Nadal will look to continue his Paris love affair when he begins the defence of his French Open title and his quest for a record-equalling 20th Grand Slam against Belarusian Egor Gerasimov on Monday. 12-time champion, Nadal, faces daunting odds at this year's French Open. Nadal unhappy with French Open choice of Wilson balls for 2020 edition
Roland Garros has switched to Wilson balls for the 2020 tournament after using Babolat for many years and 12-times champion Rafael Nadal is not impressed. The Spaniard, Nadal, thinks that the Wilson ball is much slower and under the humid and cooler conditions this year- the ball will become heavier, thus making it difficult for the players. Nadal, a 19-time Grand Slam champion, prefers warmer weather and faster clay-courts but faces cooler and wetter conditions at this year`s event, which was pushed back to the end of September from its usual May-June dates. French Open 2020 will take place between September 28 and October 11.
